Jesus Loves Me

Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.
Jesus says we all belong, and in God’s love we can be strong.

Singin’ sha-na-na-na-na-na-na, hUH! Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, hEY!
Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, hUH! Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na...singin’
Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me when I’m good, when I do the things I should.
Jesus loves me when I’m bad, even though it makes him sad.

Singin’ sha-na-na-na-na-na-na, hUH! Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, hEY!
Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, hUH! Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na...singin’
Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.

Hey everybody, get on the Jesus bus! Hey everybody, rise up and sing!
Hey everybody get on the Jesus bus. Lift up your hearts, let your true song ring,
Singin’ yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.

Now the Bible says a whole lot of things, about our god and the joy she brings.
It says a lot of things I don’t understand, bout the path we’ve been taking to the promised land
And there’s still a whole lot of room for doubt, as we try to sort the whole thing out.
And it’s not that I’m saying our intentions aren’t good, but I think we got the message misunderstood.

I’m not gonna’ try and tell you what to do. You’ve got free will, the choice is up to you.
But I’ll tell you one thing that I do believe. A God of love would not condemn you or me

And yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
Singin’ sha-na-na-na-na-na-na, hUH! Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, hEY!
Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na, hUH! Sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na...
Singin’ yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!

The Bible tells me so.
