Preschool Creation Song

Creation Song

(recite or sing to the tune of I'm a Little Teapot)

God made day and God made night,
He split the darkness from the light.
God made you and God made me,
And God made the animals A thru Z.

God made the seas and the dry land too,
He made the flowers and the sky so blue.
God made you and God made me,
And God made the animals A thru Z.

God made the stars shining way up high,
He made the birds and put them in the sky.
God made you and God made me,
And God made the animals A thru Z.

God made the sun and God made the moon,
He made the ants and the silly baboon.
God made you and God made me,
And God made the animals A thru Z.

A fuzzy caterpillar wiggled down a tree.
He wiggled long, he wiggled short, he wiggled right at me.
I put him in a box. "Don't go away," I said.
But when I looked again I saw a butterfly instead.
Now I could never make one, even if I tried.
Cause only God in Heaven, can make a butterfly.

Just adding to Rebecca's idea- other versions that I've made up as I've taught different topics of Creation:

God made day, God made night, The moon up above and the sun so bright....

God made Adam, God made Eve, God made you and God made me...

God made rocks, God made shells, God made the whole wide world...

God made plants, God made trees, God made everything you see...

Thank you Rebecca for your idea. I have used it in my Infants Bible class - they love it!

This is a great song to sing about creation and about God's love.

Sing to the tune "I love you, you love me" ....

God loves you, God loves me, God loves everyone you see,
So let's stand up,turn around, give a great big shout,
That's what God is all about...

God made day, God made night,
God made everything in sight,
So let's stand up, turn around give a great big shout,
That's what God is all about.

Music Camp 2011 Songs

Steven Curtis Chapman - "All Things New" Lyrics

You spoke and made the sunrise, to light up the very first day
You breathed across the water, and started the very first wave
It was You
You intoduced Your glory, to every living creature on earth
And they started singing, the first song to ever be heard
They sang for You

You make all things new
You make all things new

Then the world was broken, fallen and battered and scarred
You took the hopeless, the life, wasted, ruined and marred
And made it new

You make all things new
You make all things new
You redeem and You transform
You renew and You restore
You make all things new
You make all things new
And forever we will watch and worship You

You turn winter into spring
You take every living thing
And You breathe Your breath of life into it over and over again

You made the sunrise, day after day after day
But there's a morning coming, when old things will all pass away
And everyone will see

You make all things new
You make all things new
Come redeem and come transform
Come renew and come restore
You make all things new
You make all things new
And forever we will watch and worship You

Now and forever You are making all things new
You're making all things new

Hallelujah...

You're My Light by David Fife, CCLI #4742421
You're my light and my salvation
Whom shall I fear
You're my Rock, my firm foundation
On Your truth I stand

The maker of all creation
In Your hands I rest
Your great love gives me completion
Unto You I sing
Unto You I sing

One thing I ask and I will seek
Is to see Your beauty oh, Lord
One thing I ask and I will seek
Is to dwell with You all my days
Creation Calls by Brian Doerksen, CCLI#1346834
I have felt the wind blow,
Whispering Your name
I have seen Your tears fall
When I watch the rain

How could I say there is no God
When all around creation calls
A singing bird, a mighty tree
The vast expanse of open sea

Gazing at a bird in flight,
Soaring through the air
Lying down beneath the stars,
I feel Your presence there

I love to stand at ocean's shore
And feel the thundering breakers roar
To walk through golden fields of grain
'Neath endless blue horizon's frame

Listening to a river run, watering the earth
Fragrance of a rose in bloom, a newborn's cry at birth
I believe, I believe, I believe
